This system raises the engine only 3/8 of an inch; which has been excellent for reducing chain tension problems! The NC engine mount was designed for NC model cars that have the current engine straps welded onto the frame. The base plate mounts underneath the engine straps. The top plate can be bolted to the engine and the base plate clamp holds the rear portion of the base plate firmly; while a jack screw is incorporated to assist in keeping the engine stationary.
