The Ratchet hub is the most commonly used hub in quarter midget racing. This is a one way bearing to lock the left rear wheel and tire thru the corner and unlock on the straight-away. The length of time for this hub to be locked is determined by stagger. The most common starting stagger is 3-1/4".
